Trauma, a wound that cuts so deep,
A pain that lingers, never to sleep.
It hides within, a silent scream,
Echoing through our broken dreams.
It takes the light from our shining eyes,
And leaves us with a soul that never flies.
It steals the laughter from our hearts,
And tears our world apart.
But still we rise, with strength untold,
Defying the darkness that takes hold.
We gather the pieces, we stitch the seams,
And slowly, slowly, our wounds start to heal.
We find the courage to face the pain,
To heal the wounds and break the chains.
And though the scars may always show,
We stand proud, and let our light glow.
For we are survivors, of what was done,
And in our hearts, our spirit has won.
We are strong, we are brave,
And our story will always be told.
So when you see the shadow of trauma,
Remember the fight, and the love that we’ve shown.
Remember the tears, and the laughter we’ve known,
And know that healing is never alone.
